Up to My Neck In Peas

Literally!  The peas have really taken off after this week of rain.  We’ve been lucky enough to have an actual spring this year in DC, staying cool enough for sugar snap peas and spinach to actually grow.  Imagine that…they’re just short of 6 feet tall, and are covered in blooms, and even some teeny little pods.

Someone’s been nibbling the strawberries!  Not that i can blame them: garden ripe strawberries actually have tremendous flavor, unlike grocery store berries.  Time to get out the bird netting…
