For The Birds

As soon as anything in the garden turns red, it mysteriously gets a hole in it!  The thing that bugs me is that they peck a hole and nibble, then fly onto the next one: repeat. Strawberries and tomatoes so far.  Good thing there’s a hardware store right down the road that sells vast quantities of bird netting.







I’ll give it to them (in this case a mockingbird): they very smart and persistant.  They’ll work they way along the ground, looking for a tiny hole to get under the netting, then they feast away and leave the same way they came in.
