forgot to add that she took our only apple!  it was so big, and starting to redden on the edges, a few weeks away from ripe.  next morning: gone!  ripped clean off the branch.  guessing some squirrel got to it before we could.  next spring, we’re going to plant another apple (a sour cooking apple) so we get better pollination, and many more apples.
